PAS-RKYC-CM
Individual Re-KYC Consequence Management
Not just a reminder — a closed loop from due date to resolution and reactivation.
The Closed Loop
Not a notification system. Not a blocking system. A closed loop.
- T-60
Notification
The customer is notified that their periodic review is approaching its due date.
- T-30
Reminder
A second reminder if the customer has not yet responded.
- T-7
Final Notice
A final warning before the due date.
- Due Date
Policy Evaluation
The system evaluates the file's status against configured rules and approved policy.
- Overdue
Governed Restriction (where applicable)
A restriction on the relevant services is applied only under the institution's approved policy — never an independent system decision.
- Customer Action
Re-KYC Completed
The customer completes the required steps.
- Verification
Requirements Satisfied
The submitted data and documents are verified.
- System
Restriction Released
The moment approved conditions are met, eligibility is automatically restored without waiting on manual intervention.
- Status
ACTIVE
The account is active, the customer is notified, and an audit event is created.
Illustrative timeline — timings are configurable according to institutional policy, not a fixed regulatory requirement.
THE CHALLENGE
A due-date notice alone is not enough: when a customer doesn't respond, the institution needs a governed path for what happens next — restriction where warranted, then reliable reactivation the moment requirements are met, without every case becoming a manual burden on staff.
This solution draws on the founder's prior professional experience in designing and delivering a banking Re-KYC consequence-management model — covering customer notifications, reminders, policy-driven consequences, and reactivation after successful completion — before PAS was founded, and not attributed to PAS's own corporate track record.
CURRENT OPERATING STATE
- Reminders stop at the notice, with no governed path for what follows
- Releasing a restriction relies on manual follow-up, case by case
WHAT CHANGES
- A graduated notification chain: first notice, reminder, additional reminder, final warning
- At due date without response, a governed action applies under approved policy — restricting the relevant services where warranted
- The moment the customer completes and verifies the requirements, eligibility is automatically re-evaluated and the restriction is released without waiting on manual intervention
THE DIGITAL JOURNEY
- 01Approaching due date— T-60, configurable
- 02Customer notified
- 03Reminder
- 04Final notice
- 05Due
- 06Governed restriction where applicable
- 07Requirements completed
- 08Verified
- 09Reactivated
AUTOMATION
- A notification engine across the institution's approved, actually-available digital channels
- A configurable rules engine by due date, grace period, customer type, segment, and risk
- Automatic eligibility re-evaluation and reactivation once approved conditions are met
GOVERNANCE
- Any restriction or consequence is executed only according to approved institutional policy, configured rules, customer status and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Every rule is configurable, versioned, auditable and approved, with an effective date where relevant
EXCEPTIONS
- Verification failure or integration failure
- Joint account, legal restriction, or special status
- Customer dispute or a manual-override request
MANAGEMENT VISIBILITY
- Customers approaching due date, overdue, and restricted
- Automatic reactivations versus manual interventions
- Open exceptions and integration failures
HUMAN DECISIONS
- Approving an exception or manual override outside the configured rule
- Resolving a customer's dispute over an applied restriction
Let the system handle repetitive work. Let people focus on the work that requires people.
